Summer Sundress Season

Hey There!

Happy Thursday everyone! I know that the weeks are long and tough, but just keep in mind that tomorrow is Friday & the beautiful weekend begins!

Summer is the absolute BEST time of year! Sun’s out, schools out, and sundresses are out!! Sundresses are the “go to” for all special occasions during the summer time. They are easily to dress up or down for either a casual outing or a fancy dinner. On Tuesday, I was able to go to the Detroit movie premiere in the Downtown Detroit area. I was not able to get pictures of the inside (sadly), so I will have to just stick with the before pictures of my outfit. The dress code was business casual, so nothing super fancy. The dress I am styling is a Woman’s Cold Shoulder Gauze Dress (Cream) from Target (sale)! It’s super comfortable, the fabric is light & soft which is totally perfect for the warm summer air. I also love cream color on my skin tone in the summer because my skin tone darkens, so it’s perfect! I think my favorite part are the shoes, because lets be honest who doesn’t love shoes! The wedges are TOMS Natural Yarn Dye Women’s Sienna Wedges, which are currently on sale (score!) I love these shoes, they are super light weight, comfortable, and stylish! If the event was a little more casual, I would add my Levi’s Original Denim Trucker Jacket. Overall, I think this look can easily go from day to night with just a few simple changes and not to mention it’s super easy to throw on and wear, no fuss!

Why I Started Blogging

Hey there!

I thought I would kick off my blogging journey talking about why I started blogging in the first place. To be honest, I’m not 100% sure why all of a sudden I wanted to. I have always been into Facebook and Instagram and posting about my experiences and photos on those platforms, but it never seemed like I could capture the full effect of everything I was writing about. Not too long a go I was talking to a few of my friends up at school who have blogs and they seemed to really enjoy doing it! They said it was relaxing and fun to go around and take pictures and experience new places, whether it be near or far. I’ve never been huge into writing, not that I’m a bad writer or anything, I just never had the time. Now that my schedule is more open and I have some free time on my hands I thought, “why not?” Part of my goal for this upcoming year is to not say “no” to new experiences and that is what I intend to do through this blog.

I also want to make my blog different than other lifestyle/fashion blogs. I mean, I’m a college student. I can’t afford super expensive clothes, or go jetting off to these extravagant locations and then blog about it.. My goal with this blog is to relate to people my own age, relate to college girls who are going through similar experiences that I am in college & keep my blog as real as possible. I hope you all are as excited about this blog as I am!

I’m Hannah! I was born and raised on the East side of Michigan and am currently residing on the West side of the state! I am a junior at Grand Valley State University (Go Lakers!) & an Advertising and Marketing student. I am a photographer, shopping nut, and avid coffee enthusiast!
