Nutrients!

I like to try and start off my mornings with a good breakfast. If I don’t end up having the time then I try and grab a granola bar or pick up something on the go. I have found that eating something in the morning makes me feel more energized and more awake throughout the course of the day!

Coffee! Coffee! Coffee!

I like to start everyday with a good cup of coffee or tea. Mainly coffee in the morning, and then as the day progresses, I like to grab a warm cup of green tea with lemon to keep me going! Drinking coffee and/ or tea in the morning can give you that little push of caffeine that will help you get your morning started and make the rest of your day!

Turn Up the Music!

Be sure to play those happy songs in the morning when getting ready for your day. I have a specific playlist set up of a bunch of songs from happy & energetic to relaxation beats. Having music helps me wake up and begin the rest of my day!

Do Something You Love!

I love to try and leave some time between my busy schedule to do a hobby that I love. For instance, I love photography, so I love to go out, walk around for 30 minutes & snap some pictures! I find that doing something that you love to do whether it be reading, photography or going on a run, try to make time for the small hobbies that you have!

Leave Some Time for Relaxation

Weekdays can get totally stressful. Between classes, homework, work, clubs, and more, we don’t normally have so much downtime, BUT it is important to leave time for relaxation. Whether you do some yoga or relax and read cozy in bed, you should leave a little bit of time for you to relax & unwind from a stressful schedule.

Spend Time With Those You Love

My friends & boyfriend mean everything to me! Especially when I am having a long and stressful day, they are the only people who can make those long days better.  Whether it be dinner, movie, or even just sitting around and talking over coffee, sometimes just spending time with those you love make everything better.

Exercise!

Okay, so I am still working on this one for myself. I am all for trying to stay fit, and I completely understand of it is hard to find the time after a long day, but exercising really does help! I have been trying to push myself to go to the gym everyday, no matter the day or how tired I am, I am trying to push myself to stay active. Now, exercising doesn’t have to be just going to the gym. Take a fitness class or join an IM sport! There are many ways to stay active & it most definitely helps beat those weekday blues!

Surround Yourself With Positive People!

I personally am not one to spend my time with people who always make it hard for me to maintain a positive attitude. On top of everything else going on on the weekdays, I do not want to waste my time with people who have bad attitudes. I found that if you surround yourself with positive people in your life, your days won’t be so bad!

I hope that some of these tips help your days feel less drab and more fab! Feel free to share with me some of your tips on how you make it through your week! I will talk to you guys again really soon!

Update!

Hey there everyone!

I hope you have all had a wonderful week!! I want to apologize for being MIA for a while. I took some time off blogging to prepare and get ready for classes and spend time with some friends that I hadn’t seen in a while. But, now I’m back and ready to kick off this semester with a BANG!

So this past week, I have basically been moving in to my new apartment with my girls! We are still currently moving around everything and making sure everything we own has a home. I did finish putting my room together! I tried to make my space comfortable & relaxing, which I think my room does just that!

I think by bed is my absolute FAVORITE part of my entire room. I mean, whose bed isn’t the favorite part of their room??

So since I am on the basement level of the townhouse, I have a special little ledge that I can set my trinkets and pictures on! I also love plants and flowers in my room. They just seem to brighten up the room and provide a little extra life into my little room!

Instead of using a night stand, I have a night cart! I got it from IKEA and it was a great purchase! I love that I have 3 levels to set all my miscellaneous stuff on! From books, to lotion, to cute little signs, this cart can hold it all. Next to the cart are all my records that I have! I have everything from Prince to Bruno Mars to Journey. Anyone who knows me, knows that I love music, so of course I had to bring up my records! (For those of you wondering, the stuffed penguin is full of lavender. You heat it up, shake it around, and it helps you sleep peacefully!)

One of my biggest issues last year was that my desk was way too cluttered! It made it really hard to focus. So this year I wanted to change that. I ended up repainting my old desk with this creamy white chalk paint & replacing the old knobs. I think it matches pretty well with how I wanted my room to look, so I am very happy with my desk area. I also wanted to keep things on my desk that I absolutely needed on my desk. For example, I wanted to have a picture of my boyfriend and I on the desk for a little decoration. I also need my stress relief hand lotion (because classes can cause a lot of stress), stapler, cute sticky notes & a pencil holder!

I love my closet! (Nothing else to say).

Now that classes have started, I am starting to get more on a regular schedule & I will be continuing to work on posting on a regular basis. So far though, everything school wise has been going really well! I love all my classes (so far) & all my profs seem to live up to their ratings that I read on Rate my Professor! Clearly it is very early in the semester and it’s hard to tell how everything will pan out, but I am hoping for the very best!

I hope all of you have an amazing day, week, month & year! I’ll be posting more regularly as soon as everything with school and such is all straightened out!
