Hi Everyone ~
I hope you are having a good start to your week! Right now I am currently writing this while watching buckets upon buckets of snow falling down in Jersey City and it got me thinking about all the fun things I could try while we’re stuck inside. I have been trying to focus more on the importance of self-care this year and just taking time to relax and focus on myself for a while. I think when most people think about self-care they think that it’s only a girl thing or it’s just skincare and bubble baths. However, self-care can mean a number of things! It can be anything that brings you joy and relaxes you. For me, it may be a nice essential oil shower or even cleaning the apartment and for someone else, it may be reading a book or watching their favorite movie. Make time to do whatever self-care activity makes you feel happier and refreshed to go about your week. I created a list of 30 different activities that I believe everyone should try while we are working from home or just stuck inside. If you have any recommendations that you’d like me to give a shot, let me know in the comments and I can document my experience. I love trying new activities, and I hope you enjoy trying out some of the options below!

- Take a hot bubble bath with all the fixings
- Take a 1 hour break without electronic devices
- Try a guided meditation
- Color in an adult coloring book
- Go for a walk
- Do some beginner yoga
- Schedule a massage
- Take a fun dance class
- Make a healthy smoothie
- Create a vision board for yourself
- Watch your favorite movie/show
- Read a book
- Listen to a podcast that brings you joy
- Start a gratitude journal
- Take an essential oil shower
- Volunteer for a cause you are passionate about
- Watch the sunrise or sunset
- Call a family member
- Clean out your closet or another area of your home
- Give yourself a spa day
- Practice positive affirmations
- Play with makeup for fun!
- Get brunch with your friends
- Call your bestie
- Have a game night
- Get a mani/pedi
- Go to a local coffee shop
- Make a delicious dinner
- Try a new workout
- Take a relaxed nap

I love essential oil showers! I’ll just mix a few of my favorite oils in the shower and let the steam carry through the relaxing scents. Definitely give it a try sometime! And vision boards are so helpful in helping create the ideal life you want to live 🤩
