Latest Obsessions + December Goals

Hello beautiful babes!

I hope you all have been having a great kick-off to December. It doesn’t feel real that Christmas is right around the corner, but needless to say, I’m super excited! I have been keeping really busy between working and well, working. It was a crazy week last week working at Starcom and then working all weekend at my other job, The Beehive so I am so ready for another break which is why I am so pumped for Christmas. My family is driving in on the 20th to spend Christmas here with us on the east coast and I am really grateful that we will all be together for the holidays. Since I am in this festive mood, I thought today would be a great day to share my latest obsessions and goals with you for this month of December!

Girl Go Wash Your Face by Rachel Hollis

So this woman is a freaking guru when it comes to giving advice on how to be a badass female. I recently started reading her book on the train going into NYC every morning and it is a PERFECT read! She talks in-depth about being a mom, dating and becoming the CEO of her own brand which is so inspiring to me now that I am starting to make my way into my career. If you are looking for the perfect gift to give a girl looking for a little direction in life, then this is the book you need to get!

Snowy Nights

Now I know that it absolutely sucks to wake up in the morning and have to shovel the driveway or scrape snow and ice off your car, but there is something so beautiful and relaxing about snow falling at night. I was walking to the subway from work yesterday and even though I was freezing my butt off, I just thought the snow looked so beautiful falling between the tall buildings and city lights. I know this may sound a little cheesy, but it was a really awesome moment for me! I especially love coming home and warming up with some tea and just watch the snowfall outside, it’s probably one of my favorite winter activities. Well, that and throwing snowballs at Nick.

For those of you who aren’t aware, I am a HUGE Disney lover, so when Disney+ came out, I was SO ready to watch all the nostalgic movies and shows I loved when I was younger. I have been binging all my favorite shows like That’s So Raven, Suite Life of Zack and Cody and so many more. If you haven’t had a chance to check out their new steaming service yet, hop on and start watching!

Plaid Oversized Blazer’s

I just recently recieved my jacket from Amazon and I have to say it is one of my new favorite pieces in my wardrobe! It is so cozy and the perfect addition to any outfit for the holiday season. I am absolutely obsessed with the look and I encourage you to pick one up asap!

Now time for some goals:

  • Apartment hunt with Nick and be in a place by January
  • Start savings plan on Every Dollar
  • Travel back to Michigan to visit friends
  • Create 4 more posts for this month
  • Get back to consistent posting for PYM

I hope you all enjoyed this post and have a great rest of your week! I am so thankful for each and every one of you who take the time to read my posts and share them around because it honestly means the world to me. I will talk to you all again next week, so keep a look out for a new post!

What I’m Thankful For + Plans for the Future

Hello beautiful friends!

I hope you all had a fabulous start to your week so far and are ready to pull out those fat pants for Thanksgiving this Thursday. I am sorry for not posting lately or updating you about what has been going on here on the east coast. It has been a crazy past few weeks here and a lot of my free time has been taken up with work and planning. But I am back and have been brainstorming so much new content that I can’t wait to share with all of you really soon! For those of you who don’t know, I recently accepted a Media Associate position with a company called Starcom and I just finished my first-week last week. It has felt so nice to get back to a routine and start working in a field that I am super passionate about. So YAY! This Thursday is Thanksgiving and I am so excited to spend it, for the first time, in New Hampshire with my extended family. I am SO ready to have the food coma hit me hard and sleep my way through the weekend! Anyways, I have been giving a lot of thought to my list of things I am thankful for, especially since a lot has happened in 2019. So today I thought it would be a great opportunity for me to share everything that I have been grateful for this year and always!

My Family (Near and Far)

A lot has changed. Specifically, a lot has changed from April to now and honestly I don’t think I could have gone through it all without the support of my family and Nick’s family (who I consider my own). Even now as I’m writing this, I feel emotional. I am so thankful for everything my family and Nick’s family have done to support me over the past few months. Between graduating, accepting a huge internship with Leo Burnett for the summer, losing my grandma suddenly, and a big move to the east coast, I honestly don’t think I could have done any of it without the constant love and support of family. So, I am absolutely thankful for my family as I always am!

Nick has definitely been a light through a lot of struggles not only since the move but throughout this year. I am always thankful for his constant love and support in anything I do and I hope he knows that his kind heart never goes unnoticed. Since we have started living together, we have grown closer because I think we both know that we have to lean on each other no matter what may come our way. We have had our fair share of struggles, but every time we come out stronger than ever and I am always thankful to go through life with him by my side.

My Friends

Unfortunately, I was not able to bring my lovely best friends with me on this journey to NYC, but I have gotten nothing but love and support all the way from Michigan! I am always thankful for our fun moments together and I am extra thankful for those who have kept in touch with Nick and I. All of my friends mean the world to me and I don’t have any idea where I would have ended up without all of them in my life!

My Health

Health is so important to be thankful for because I feel like it can be something that is so easy to look over in our busy lives. I am especially thankful for my mental health. This year has brought so many new changes to my life and I know that if my mental health wasn’t in check, well then it could have been a very rough few moments. I am so thankful for being mentally, emotionally and (somewhat) physically strong and ready to attack anything that may come my way!

My New Job

Even though this is a new addition to my life, I am so thankful for the position I have at Starcom. I am learning a lot so far and it feels so good to be back in a routine and working in a field that I am so passionate about! When Nick and I first moved, we thought it wouldn’t take long before we landed something and started working. Little did we know that there was a different plan for us and the process ended up taking a lot longer than expected. I look at my new job so excited and thankful that I have this opportunity to learn and grow under some great leaders in my field!

I hope you all have a great Thanksgiving this Thursday with your family and friends. I have so much new content that I am working on for you and I can’t wait for you to read what’s coming next. I’ll talk to you all again really soon!

Latest Obsessions + November Goals

Hello beautiful friends!

I hope you all had a great weekend and are enjoying your week so far. This past week has been very interesting and I have a lot of emotions running high lately if you understand what I mean. I recently got back into a gym routine and I bought a gym membership to a local gym in CT which has been pretty exciting! I feel like the reason lately I have been struggling with motivation and being down on myself lately has been because I wasn’t up and doing anything. I am someone who likes to have a purpose and is actively doing something, so I believe this will help me get back in shape the way I was over the summer (so expect some more gym boomerangs on my Insta stories soon)! In some other good news, I recently accepted a job offer with an agency called Starcom working as a Media Associate! I feel like I have been talking a lot about life and how it brings you twists and turns, and this position was so unexpected but I was so excited to accept a position from a company I have had so much respect and admiration for. I am very excited to start on November 18th & I will be sure to keep you all updated with how things are going! Now that we have gotten all that new info, I’m so pumped to share my newest latest obsessions and goals for this month!

The Edge Fitness

Like I said earlier I have been working to get back into a gym routine and The Edge in Fairfield is where I have been going! I was honestly surprised that I enjoyed their gym as much as I did. It has basically everything you would want in a gym and then more which is amazing! Starting to get back into a fitness routine has become my newest obsession for this month and I can’t wait to see what results come of working out at The Edge Fitness!

Sweater Season

Lately, on the east coast, we have been bouncing back and forth between warm and cold weather and it has really been bumming out my sweater styles lately. Now that we have dropped in temperature, I have been pulling out all my favorite sweaters. I love a good oversized sweater and they will always be a part of my latest obsessions in November. If you need a bunch of quality sweaters for inexpensive prices, then check out Marshalls or TjMaxx because they are fully stocked up for this season!

Early Morning Routines

I have been on a kick lately watching different morning routines on Youtube and perfecting my own early morning routine for my new job. I have to say that I really enjoy waking up at an early hour. I tend to feel more productive in the morning when I have a cup of coffee in hand. Waking up early has given me the opportunity to work at my own pace and not feel so rushed throughout the day to get things on my schedule done. If you are looking to become a morning person, get some inspiration by watching some morning routines!

Ever since receiving my new job, I have been thinking a lot about my closet and trying to incorporate more pieces for a business casual setting. Express has honestly been such an amazing place to not only shop but also find inspiration for looks I would like to put together for work! I absolutely love their dress pants style as well as their sweaters which are perfect for the colder days that are approaching. I 100% recommend Express for any clothing needs because their quality is amazing as well as if you need to spruce up your working wardrobe, check out all their latest business pieces!

Now time for some goals:

  • Start apartment hunting
  • Start and finish a book
  • Reach 1000 followers on Instagram
  • Lose 10 pounds
  • Start a new budgeting plan
  • Start saving for Christmas

Well, that’s all I have for you today! Thank you to everyone who reached out yesterday and wished me congratulations on my new job. I’m super excited to start and I will be sure to keep you all updated on how things are going. I can’t wait to talk to you all again next week!

Overcoming Your Expectations + Positive Steps to Move Forward

Hello beautiful friends!

I hope you all have been having a great kick-off to your week so far. Things here on the east coast have been looking up a little bit and I am hoping that soon light will shine on Nick and I and we will be where we want to be in life! This weekend brought forth a lot of positivity because my family came to visit, which was SO GREAT since I haven’t seen anyone since the end of August. We spent some great quality time together and it truly pushed my energy in a positive direction. After reflecting on some moments happening in my life, I decided to make a change and stop caring. That’s right, I’m working on not caring about expectations and just let myself take it day by day!

Change up your routine

In any aspect of our lives sometimes we tend to throw everything we have into one basket and then become disappointed when it doesn’t work out. I have been a little guilty of this lately. Ever since before moving here, I had set this expectation in my mind that I would move to this new state and have a position landed in a month, which to be fair was probably not the most realistic expectation, but hey we’re learning. For me, learning to diversify my life has been key in bringing a little more positivity to my everyday routine. Having a variety of activities or hobbies can help you focus your energy in a healthy way, instead of dwelling on a negative aspect. Maybe next time something doesn’t go your way, focus that energy into growing a business you’ve been working on or work it off in the gym. Whatever you need to do to bring yourself back to a positive headspace, will overall help you stop focusing so hard on the expectations you placed for yourself!

Stop Complaining

We all are creatures of complaining when something doesn’t go our way. Trust me, I’ve been guilty of this lately too. MAKE A MOVE! It’s time that we all stop feeling sorry for ourselves and start focusing on making something else happen. Lately with the job hunting, I have been guilty of sitting and complaining when I didn’t get a position or a job gets put on hold, which was doing nothing for me at the end of the day. If you don’t like the way something is going in your life, then it’s up to you to change it. You can ABSOLUTELY be content with where your life is currently, but you also shouldn’t be afraid to make changes to get your life to where you’d like it to be!

Take Responsibility

Other people should not be able to dictate how you feel or look at life. Lately, I have been finding it so easy to push the blame onto another circumstance or person whenever something goes array. I’ve been learning to stop this habit because honestly, it’s no one else’s problem but my own. Accept responsibility for your actions and be willing to move forward in a healthy direction!

Don’t waste time on negativity

I found that when I surround myself with negative people, it only makes me have this negative outlook on everything around me. Life’s too short to surround yourself with people who only suck the life out of you instead of working to build you up! This past year I made a promise to not waste my time on people who really don’t put in the same amount of energy into me, and you know what? It’s felt amazing! I think we all have this expectation that we need to surround ourselves with a wide circle of people in order to feel complete with our lives and honestly, it’s more lonely and exhausting that way. Learning to drop any negativity surrounding your life can be so refreshing and lift up your life instead of tearing it down!

Be happy where you are at this moment

It can become SO easy for us to get wrapped up in the future and having everything mapped out for the next 5 years. We have been told for years to have a plan and that can be a hard habit to break. Don’t get me wrong I am a planner and it has been really hard to just go with the flow and enjoy life at this moment. I’ll say it again, life’s too short to dwell on the fact that life may not be perfect at this moment. You may not be where you’d like to be, but you are where you are meant to be at this moment so, enjoy it!

I hope you all have an amazing rest of your week. With all my free time these next few days, I have been working on some new content to share for the rest of this year! I also have some new collaborations in the works and I am so pumped to share some of those new projects. As always, I will be keeping you updated on any life updates for Nick and myself, so be sure to stay tuned!

Reenergizing Your Motivation + Meeting Your Goals

Hello Beautiful Babes!

I can’t even believe we are almost through October like I can’t even believe it. The time has been a mix between flying by and going super duper slow. For those of you wondering, no I have not landed a position anywhere in NYC yet and it’s been a little rough in the mental health game lately. I have definitely been going through a funk the past few weeks and this week I decided to turn over a new leaf and stop feeling sorry for myself about how life may not be going my way. This post is about reenergizing your motivation and the tips are some things that I am currently trying to implement into my life to make things easier on myself mentally moving forward to the future!

Wake up early

I know that everyone hates waking up early and believe me I do too most times, but honestly, I feel like I have way more time throughout my day to work through everything I want to get done for the day! I’m not a person who wakes up at 5 am every day. Most of the time I try to be up around 7:30 am or 8:30 am on weekends. I have to say waking up at 7:30 feels pretty good. I wake up, throw on an oversized sweatshirt, grab my coffee and work on making my list of to-dos for the day. If you are having trouble finding motivation throughout the day, waking up early helps to kick your butt into high gear for the rest of your day!

Write down your daily list

So lately I have been spending a lot of time either at work or at home. Even though I know I know I could be doing different projects at home, it’s hard to find the motivation to pull yourself off the couch and get sh*t done. Something that I have been trying to adapt to my life moving forward is to write down a list of everything I do in a day. It could include, going to the gym, sitting and watching Masterchef, doing some job searching or even cleaning your room. Writing down a list of everything you did the previous day helps you cut the areas where maybe you don’t need to be spending time during the day. Maybe today I cut out watching Masterchef because I don’t need to watch 3 hours of TV when I could be working on something more important. My point is to just cut the areas where you feel like you could be using that time in a better way!

Get out and moving

I have found lately that sitting on my butt not doing what I set out to accomplish is not going to accomplish anything. I have been out of a gym routine for way too long and I am starting to get back into that routine. When I was working out, I felt more mentally strong and more confident in myself. Any form of exercise or movement you can do during the day can help you feel like you can tackle anything throughout your day or week!

Set a To-do list for your dream

Obviously setting a to-do list for the day is important to reach your goals for that day, but what about a to-do list for your dream goal? Say your dream is to work for a high-end fashion magazine as a writer. Okay, well what are the steps in your “to-do list” to reach that end goal? I feel like sometimes I only focus on what needs to be done at that moment that I don’t focus on my dream for the future. This is something that I am trying to work on every day and I believe this dream to-do list can help you accomplish the dream you have set out for yourself!

Stop using distractions as an excuse

We all have things in life that stop us from feeling motivated. Believe me, I do the same thing at least once a day. I am trying to be better at not allowing things like being tired, or saying that it’s ‘too hard,’ stop me from reaching my goals for the day or in life. If you want to accomplish something and find the motivation to do so, then nothing should stand in your way from accomplishing what you want!

Think of everything you are grateful for

In a time when you find it hard to be motivated or are in a downward spiral, stop and think of everything you are grateful for. At the moment you may not see a lot that you are grateful for, but I promise once you start that list, you won’t be able to stop thinking of things. This could include everything from your family to just simply waking up this morning. Listing the positives in your life will help take away any negative thoughts that could be stopping you from finding the motivation to tackle your day!

If you made it to the end of this post you are truly amazing and I appreciate you taking the time to read my posts and share it with people you love. I hope you all have a great rest of your week and if you are struggling to find the motivation to achieve your goals, then I hope this post helps you turn over that leaf and start fresh. I can’t wait to talk to you all again next week!

Latest Obsessions + October Goals

Hello Beautiful Babes!

I am so happy to be back and writing. The past few weeks I have been kind of unmotivated to really do anything and I know my blog has been suffering in the process. Starting this week, I want to throw out any unmotivated negative vibes and focus on the areas in my life that truly make me happy. Now that we have made it to October and the weather has dropped to sweater weather here on the east coast, I thought it would be a great time to share my latest obsessions + goals for this month! I have all my sweaters lined up and ready to go for this cool weather and I am so excited for all the local fall activities.

Lotta From Stockholm Clogs

By far these are some of my absolute favorite shoes on this planet! I was unsure about how I felt about the clog trend happening this fall, but after purchasing a pair of my own, I am absolutely hooked. Lotta makes the most comfortable and most stylish pair of clogs I have ever worn and I can’t wait to pair them with all my fall looks this year! I purchased the Cappuccino Highwood Clogs and they basically go with everything. I was afraid that the Highwood clogs would be too high or that I wouldn’t feel comfortable wearing them casually, and all those worries went away after I put them on. They are absolutely adorable, quite the statement piece and so comfortable. 11/10 would absolutely recommend these shoes!

The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck by Mark Manson

I just started this book and I am already hooked. This book keeps life 100% real with you about life and how it is not always fair to everyone. I am ALL about self-help books and even though this is the exact opposite of every other book, it is still so helpful! I absolutely love this book and even though I just started it, I recommend it to anyone looking for a new self-help book to read.

Fall on The East Coast

As you probably have noticed so far, I absolutely love fall. Everything from pumpkin spice to changing leaves to apple picking! The leaves just started changing over on the East coast and so far they are looking absolutely beautiful. I am so obsessed with everything fall this month & I never want it to end!

Bodega Taco Bar

I am a taco, salsa, guac, and margarita fan 100%, and this restaurant has all of my favorites in spades! Bodega is this amazing taco bar in Fairfield, Connecticut and it has recently become one of my new obsessions for a fun night out. If you are ever in the area, I totally recommend this place to anyone who loves tacos and margs as much as I do!

My Plant Babies

If you haven’t heard yet, I’M A RECENT PLANT MOM! Yes, I have adopted some new plants and I could not be happier. I only have an aloe plant and some cute succulents in a pot, but hey you have to start somewhere right? I plan on growing my collection soon adding some variety, so stay tuned!

Now time for some goals:

  • Save up $1,000 for our apartment in NYC
  • Land a position in the city
  • Attend a blogger event
  • Make it to 1,000 followers on Instagram
  • Purchase another plant baby
  • Try a new adventure with Nick

I hope you all enjoyed reading this post and I promise I have some new and different content coming your way soon. Stay tuned for all my life updates on my social media and here on this blog. I also have a quick announcement for you all too… THE PYM GIRLS ARE HOSTING ANOTHER EVENT! Yes, you heard it here, we are hosting our Pretty, Young & Educated event on November 10th in the Cityflats Hotel in Grand Rapids. I will share a few pictures of what’s to come and I hope you can all make it out. Check out the link here and I hope you all have a fabulous rest of your week!

Life Didn’t Go Your Way + Making the Best of Any Situation

Hello Beautiful People!

Sorry for not posting yesterday. The past few weeks have been a lot to handle emotionally lately with adjustments after the move and currently being unemployed, the stress has just been a lot to handle. But nonetheless, I have been persevering and remaining hopeful in the midst of everything! I have trying out some new tips that may be helpful in the face of a difficult situation at the moment and they have actually been helping quite a lot. A lot of life changes were just made and I needed to get out of my life funk, so I came up with some quick tips to help pull you out of any funk or situation you may be going through!

Accept Your Lemons

You know the saying “when life gives you lemons?” Well, that’s basically what I’m saying. Life gives you lemons throughout your time whether they be good or bad and sometimes you just need to accept the lemons you have been given. Let me know if I sound crazy or not. You can’t go back and change anything you have been dealt, you just have to take whatever positive energy you have to push forward towards the future. I mean something good has to be on the horizon from those lemons right?

Learn from failing

Failure is inevitable in life. No matter how hard you may try to avoid failure, you always will fail at something and that is totally OKAY! I remember being so afraid to fail in basically anything I did and it would hold me back from reaching anything great. Especially in today’s day and age, it’s hard to see anyone fail because now everyone posts about their lives being so great on their social platforms (guilty). Everyone, even those perfect influencers who seem to have everything in life together, have failures. It’s how you use those past mistakes to learn so maybe the next time you won’t fail!

Trust your process

Now this is something I have constantly had to keep telling myself, and sometimes it may sound like a broken record, but you have to trust the process. Everyone’s process in life is different. Most of my friends now have jobs at good companies and I just started working at a local boutique to make minimum wage. A lot of people I know are getting engaged or married, and I’m living with my boyfriend happily, but I’m not in any rush to get married. My point is, everyone’s life path is different and even if you are not where you would like to be, it’s where you are supposed to be at that moment! Just try your best to enjoy the journey and accept the path you are on.

You will become a stronger person overall

When things don’t go as planned, you learn to become a stronger person, mentally and emotionally! You learn to try and not allow these minor inconveniences to bother you as much anymore. The biggest takeaway is you may learn that you can’t be perfect, which again is okay! Everyone’s life goes in so many different directions, so you have to be able to adapt and change as you see fit.

No such thing as missing your boat

I read this quote and I felt it was necessary to put it into this post. There is no such thing as missing your boat. You may miss the boat everyone else is on, but you can never miss your own. Like I have been saying through this whole post, life can be funky and go in multiple different directions. Everyone has a different boat they are on and just because you miss theirs, doesn’t mean you missed the boat you are meant to be on! Wait on it and remain hopeful that your boat is coming soon.

I hope you all have a great rest of your week and if you are going through a funk, like myself, feel free to share some of your tips for beating this life funk! For those of you looking for a life update, things have been a little off here for myself and Nick, but we are remaining positive that the right opportunity for work in the city is out there for us, it’s just a matter of time until we get good news! I can’t wait to talk to you all again soon.

FabFitFun Fall Unboxing + Product Review

Hello my beautiful babes!

We have FINALLY made it to fall and I am lighting pumpkin candles as we speak! We are finally starting to feel settled here in our third-floor cove inside my aunt’s house. Still currently in the waiting game for jobs. REAL TALK. We both are kind of struggling to keep positive about finding jobs. We both are ready to get back into a routine and start working. Regardless of how things in life are going right now though, we are both trying to remain hopeful and just enjoy the current life we are living. On a happier note, since we have made it to fall, I am so excited to share my latest FabFitFun unboxing + review! For those of you who are new to reading my blog, I am a FabFitFun partner. I am not paid to share this content and all thoughts about this box and the products inside are my own real thoughts. I always share products and services that I am passionate about and truly love and FabFitFun is a service that I am totally living for! You pay a quarterly fee of 49.99 and you will receive a box every season that contains products that match your personality quiz along with additional (free) items that you pick. I absolutely love trying new products, so this box is the perfect excuse for me to step outside my comfort zone and try something new that I may have never have thought to buy for myself. All products are full size and the box’s value totals over $300 worth of products (so like a crazy deal)! If you are interested, in learning more about the box you can message me and I’d be happy to provide any insight. I will also leave a link below for you to use and try out your first box for $10 off the original price (so only $39.99)!

Now moving on to the items inside my box this fall:

amika Strand Perfect Ceramic Styler

This was one of my add on’s which I was pretty excited about not gonna lie. When I tried it… I wasn’t the biggest fan. I have pretty thick hair and the straightener that I use opens up wide so I am able to do a little more hair at a time and it looks pretty great in my opinion. This straightener did not open up wide enough and I felt like I was burning my hair in the process. Now, this is just my personal preference and I may try it again just to see if it changes my opinion, but personally, I will probably stick with my OG straightener for now!

Kate Spade New York Lunch Tote

I have never had a lunch tote like this before & so I was so excited to see this as one of my add on options! It’s totally my style and the tiny saying is everything. The material is high quality (of course because it’s Kate Spade) and the inside is lined to keep your lunch cool. I can’t wait to bring this to work!

BaubleBar Fara Ear Crawlers

I may have a slight obsession with these earrings. These were another add on item that I just had to have! They are the perfect simple statement earring that can go with basically anything you wear this fall. I love the BaubleBar brand & I am so happy to own a pair of their earrings!

Afterspa Hair Towel Wrap

Honestly, I haven’t used one of these towels since I was in middle school so I was kinda surprised that I received one of these in my box this fall. I definitely have enjoyed using this product so far. It keeps my hair all together while I get ready in the morning, so I can’t wait to keep using this in my everyday morning routine!

Wander Beauty Baggage Claim Gold Eye Mask 6 Pack

These have to be some of the BEST under-eye masks I have ever used! These work so well and are supposed to deeply hydrate your skin, which in my case it did. It contains hyaluronic acid, aloe leaf extract, and lavender oil again to soothe and hydrate your under eyes. I love these masks so much and I can’t wait to use another one soon!

AVEDA Damage Remedy Daily Hair Repair

This product was honestly a shocker for me. I don’t typically like using hair masks or put anything in my hair outside of shampoo, conditioner and some styling products, but this changed my tune slightly. The hair repair by AVEDA  contains quinoa protein, macadamia oil, and soy to help protect your hair to heat styling. When I was working my internship this summer, I realized just how much heat styling I subject my hair to in the morning, so I was eager to try this when I received it. I tried it one morning after my shower and the product worked so well afterward! My hair felt softer ( a little greasy at the roots, but no biggie) and actually looked a lot healthier after I had dried it. I totally recommend this product because I absolutely LOVE AVEDA and now believe this product should be in all styling routines!

Harper + Ari Exfoliating Sugar Cubes in Juice Cleanse

Not going to lie to you, these were not my favorite. I love a good exfoliator in the shower or bath, but these did not really work well for me. They were very gummy and I didn’t feel a difference in the shower compared to my other exfoliators. I thought they smelled nice, but the cubes just broke apart in clumps and created a big mess. I think I may try them again just for the heck of it, but I probably won’t be reaching for it again. Sorry!

Human + Kind Body Souffle

This is the BEST smelling body lotion and boy does it work wonders! I have been slightly obsessed with this lotion lately. I have been using it on my hands and feet and they feel so hydrated and soft! It contains apricot oil and shea butter so it leaves your skin feeling constantly moisturized throughout the day. I totally recommend this brand and this body souffle to anyone who loves a good body lotion like myself!

NassifMD Detox Pads

At first, I wasn’t sure how I felt about these, but after using them the past week, I have grown to love the Detox Pads! I haven’t used any form of face cleaning pad products since the Clearasil pad middle school days (they burned my skin), so I was a little apprehensive to try this product. Shockingly, I ended up loving them because they gently detox your pores and remove dead skin! I used them about 3 days a week both morning and night and my skin has never felt better. I totally recommend this product and I hope you take the time to get yours now!

So as you can see this box contained some highs and lows as far as products. But overall, I always am fascinated with the gifts I receive in my box! I have been receiving these boxes for 2 years now and I am always super pumped to share this awesome brand and their services. If you are interested in learning more about FabFitFun message me or click here to get your $10 off your first box!

I hope you all have a fabulous rest of your week. I have a job interview in NYC on Thursday, so wish me luck! I am currently trying to get back into the writing swing of things for both this blog and PYM, so please be patient and I promise some new content will be coming your way soon. Love you guys & I will talk to you all again soon!

Latest Obsessions + September Goals

Hello Beautiful People!

I know it has been a while since I last wrote to you all, but things were crazy busy between traveling, packing and unloading for our move to the East coast. Let me catch you up on what we have been up to since our move! We have both visited New York a few times since we arrived. It is such a beautiful city and we can’t wait o finally have our own place together closer to the area. We have both been spending a lot of quality time with family going to softball games for my cousin as well as just exploring together. We have also been crazy busy (and a little stressed) job hunting and interviewing so, fingers crossed something perfect will come along for both of us to start working! Overall, we have been keeping pretty busy, which is the main reason I haven’t been able to sit down and write to you all in a hot minute. With all that being said, I am so excited to share my latest obsessions/ goals for the month with you and I promise I will have some new content coming your way super soon!

Go-To Face Hero Oil

This face product has been so amazing to my skin the past few weeks I have been using it. The oil is a lightweight oil (which I love) that works for all skin types to deeply hydrate, revitalize and protect your skin. It’s perfect for fine lines, dullness and uneven skin tone, which I sometimes struggle with on a daily basis. I love the smell of the product as well as the lightweight feel and I would definitely recommend this product to anyone for their morning and night routine!

Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew

This is EVERYTHING! I can’t lie, I am a sucker for a good Starbucks PSL and now they have a cold brew version, so I’m sold. The cold brew tastes so smooth and strong and the pumpkin cream brings a soothing sweet taste at the end. Overall, so delicious and I can’t wait to order myself another one soon!

YOU are a BADASS by Jen Sincero

Probably one of the most influential book I have read in a long time! This is basically a self-help book on how to stop doubting the greatness you have and how to begin living a life that is awesome. The book gives some of the best as well as the most realistic advice I have ever read and I can’t wait to start applying Jen’s advice to my everyday life!

New York City

I have always had a slight obsession with NYC and it honestly feels so surreal that within a little bit of time, I could be working and living in the city. I love the busyness and uniqueness of New York and I can’t wait to keep exploring the city that never sleeps!

Now time for some goals:

  • Find a position in the city
  • Perfect an early morning routine
  • Take a road trip through the East coast with Nick
  • Start a new recipe every week

I hope you enjoyed reading this post & I am working hard on some new content coming your way! I recently received my FabFitFun fall box, so expect a post coming to you soon. I will keep you all updated with new photos about how our New York adventure is going & I can’t wait to talk to you all again soon. Have a great rest of your week & enjoy life!
